Early Childhood Music
Both Prelude Class and the Baroque to Baby Concert Series focus on learning music fundamentals in a cheerful and supportive environment where children sing and move and make great friends. Classes begin the week of November 26th.
Prelude Class (Ages 0 - 5 with a caregiver)
The curriculum is designed to give children an early exposure to music and concepts such as pitch, rhythm, beat, and dynamics. Through musical play, this mixed-age class strengthens the bond between parent and child while developing vocabulary, and social/emotional skills. Delight in musical discovery through movement, singing, and instrument play, as children will learn the fundamental skills needed to become lifelong learners in music and beyond! Thursdays 5-6 pm, or Fridays 10-11 am.
Baroque to Baby: Holiday Concerts
These baby-friendly concerts are designed to encourage parents and caretakers to take a break in their day to share the joy of music with their babies and young children. Participate in games and activities led by our Early Childhood Music instructor. Families are encouraged to relax, nurse, dance, cry--whatever the music and mood moves you to do!
Friday, November 16, 11am - 12pm featuring cellist, Lisa Lithall
Friday, December 21, 11am - 12pm featuring holiday songs with pianist, Rick Lowe
Group Music Classes
Group classes are available for all ages. Suzuki group classes are available for students also enrolled in private Suzuki lessons, and a new session of West African Drumming class begins in December.
