Send a message against Trump at the polls
The Founding Fathers never conceived of political parties, let alone the partisan political parties that we have today. What the framers of the Constitution did conceive of were three coequal branches of government acting as checks and balances for each other. We have a Republican Congress which refuses to even acknowledge the chaos in the White House, let alone act upon it. They have abrogated their constitutional duty.
This president does not seem to understand that the role of the chief executive does not include unlimited power. This president is also a liar, and he needs to be called out every time he lies. Republicans in Congress and, frankly, in every state and county elected office for some reason refuse to say lying to the American people is wrong. Whether their silence is because of crassness or cowardice, it can no longer be tolerated or rewarded with Americans' votes.
The call goes out now to everyone who didn't, or couldn't, vote in 2016. The call goes out to Democrats, younger voters, and minority voters who usually skip midterm elections. The call goes out to Independent voters and moderate Republicans, who chose Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump in 2016. The call goes out to voters who wanted to give Trump a chance. He's had his chance, and he's failed. His party has failed, too. We are in the middle of a constitutional crisis which only an overwhelming victory for the Democrats on Nov. 6 can remedy.
Go to the polls, and vote Democratic. Send the message, loud and clear.
