Veterans sought for volunteer projects

Volunteer Veterans Conservation Corp provides opportunities for veterans to continue serving their country by assisting with and developing projects at Volo Bog State Natural Area, Moraine Hills State Park and McHenry Dam.

The current project is a kiosk at Moraine Hills, on River Road between routes 120 and 176. The next work day is from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 20. Future work days are planned for Nov. 3 and 17 and Dec. 1.
