Doggy Trick or Treat event in Mundelein Oct. 13

Families and all friendly dogs are welcome at Doggy Trick-or-Treat from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Community Park, 1401 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein.

The free, on-leash event gives dogs a chance to bob for weenies, try an agility course, trick or treat, pose in a photo booth and compete in a costume contest.

Food will be available for purchase. All dogs must be accompanied by someone 15 or over. Costumes not required, but encouraged.

At 11:30 a.m., pooches also are welcome to join GO MUNDELEIN, a walking initiative that promotes healthy and active living through programing and events.
