Boys golf: St. Viator's Crawford earns medalist honors as Lions advance
St. Viator senior Timmy Crawford shot a 70 on Tuesday to earn medalist honors and lead the Lions to second place in their own Class 2A boys golf regional at Old Orchard Country Club in Mt. Prospect.
The Lions finished with a 305 as a team, placing second to Vernon Hills, which had a 302. Antioch grabbed the third team spot for next Monday's Kaneland sectional at Hughes Creek in Elburn with a 331.
In addition to Crawford's 70, St. Viator counted a 72 from senior Nolan Doherty, an 80 from senior EJ Reisinger and an 83 from senior Liam O'Neill. Senior Tim Allaire shot an 87 for the Lions.
