Boys soccer: Lopez scores twice in Elgin's win over Dundee-Crown

Elgin scored a pair of first-half goals in a 2-0 win over Dundee-Crown on Saturday, improving the Maroons to 12-1-2.

Omar Lopez scored both goals for Elgin, the first assisted by Cristopher Colin and the second unassisted.

Martin Jimenez made 4 saves for Elgin and Damian Smeich made 6 saves for Dundee-Crown, now 12-3-2.

Streamwood 3, West Chicago 1: Alex Chavez opened the scoring for the Sabres. Rolando Martinez scored the next goal on Alejandro Morales's assist, and Jesus Limon capped things with a goal on a Chavez assist.

Hector Alfaro made 3 saves for Streamwood, now 10-3-3 and 3-0-2 in the Upstate Eight.

Evanston 3, St. Charles East 2: Sabastian Carranza scored both goals for the Saints (9-5), the first on a penalty kick and the second on an assist from Jake Maslowski.

Jack Settle made 5 saves.
