Birds of Isaak Walton Park Slough Photograpy Exhibit at PH Library In October
As a photographer, local resident David Ludwin has been taking photographs for 50 years. It was a couple of years ago that Mr. Ludwin became involved with the restoration efforts at the Prospect Heights Slough through the Natural Resources Commission. Working with the commission, he began to notice that as the habitat changed, so did the birds, insects and wildlife that use it. As a result, David became fascinated with the changing bird populations and turned his lens towards documenting the new residents, nesting species and migrations. The results speak for themselves providing great artistic insights into Audubon life at the Slough.
We are pleased to announce David's show of these incredible photographs will be our second PHNRC exhibition at the Prospect Heights Public Library. The show, "Prospect Heights Slough Birds" will open on October 1st, 2018 and run through October 31st. A reception to meet the artist will take place on October 3rd from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Mr. Ludwin's images will be for sale, framed or unframed with a portion of every sale being donated to the PHNRC intern program. The summer intern program is an important part of the NRC agenda that provides interns with intensive educational opportunities and on the job training while contributing vital manpower assets to the supplement the volunteer workforce. The Prospect Heights Public Library is located at 12 North Elm Street in Prospect Heights.
