League of Women Voters to Host Candidate Forums
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL (September 11, 2018) -
Voters have a chance to hear from local candidates on three separate dates this October during candidate forums co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Palatine and the League of Women Voters Arlington Heights-Mount Prospect-Buffalo Grove.
All forums are free and open to the public. The events allow candidates to present their position and encourage an informed and educated electoral process. The following is a list of dates and locations:
Saturday, October 6 - 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Barrington Area Library, 505 N. Northwest Highway, Barrington
IL Representative 51st District - Mary Edly-Allen (D) and Helene Miller Walsh (R)
IL. State Senator District 26 - Tom Georges (D) and Dan McConchie (R)
IL 6th Congressional District - Sean Casten (D) and Peter J. Roskam (R)*
*Peter Roskam has been invited, but has not confirmed his participation in the event. Per forum rules, if he does not show up Sean Casten will not be allowed to participate.
Sunday, October 14 - 1-6 p.m.

IL Representative 54th District -Tom Morrison (R) and Maggie Trevor (D)
IL Representative 53rd District - Eddie Corrigan (R) and Mark Walker (D)
IL State Senator District 27 - Ann Gillespie (D) and Tom Rooney (R)
IL 9th Congressional District - John Elleson (R) and Jan Schakowsky (D)
Saturday, Oct. 20 - 1-4 p.m.

IL 8th Congressional District - Jitendra "JD" Diganvker (R) and Raja Krishnamoorthi (D)
Cook County Commissioner District 15 - Kevin B. Morrison (D) and Tim Schneider (R)
