Fox Lake police to hold special enforcement campaign Sunday

Fox Lake police are conducting a special campaign Sunday to enforce traffic laws that enhance vehicle and bicycle safety.

The effort is sponsored by Ride Illinois through the Illinois Department of Transportation. Fox Lake police received a grant for the purpose of promoting bicycle safety education in schools, police departments, and within the commuting public.

Members of the department first participated in the program by completing training through BikeSafetyQuiz.com. The second part of the program involves a single-day traffic enforcement campaign, focusing on traffic laws for vehicles and bicycles. The enforcement campaign will target the areas of Route 12 and Rollins Road in Fox Lake.
