Vernon Hills marks Worldwide Day of Play Saturday

The Vernon Hills Park District will host a Worldwide Day of Play event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Century Park pavilion, 1401 Indianwood Drive, Vernon Hills.

Park district staff will lead old-school picnic games including sack races, hula hoop contests, the popular egg toss and several other games.

No registration is necessary. The event will be canceled in the case of inclement weather.
