Annual parade to give 'Hats Off to North Aurora'

The North Aurora Mothers Club is proud to organize its ninth annual North Aurora Community Parade with the theme "Hats Off to North Aurora." They encourage all participants to wear creative, fun and silly hats.

The parade features the West Aurora High School Marching Band, BMX bikers, local businesses, clubs, friends and neighbors with floats from schools, restaurants and organizations in the village and neighboring towns.

The parade kicks off from Highland Park on Oak Street at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23. The parade will head east on Oak Street, then turn right on Cherrytree Court and head south. Next, parade participants will head west on State Street and then turn south on Sycamore. Finally, turn west on Princeton and follow that to Poplar going north to end at Goodwin Park.

The parade will conclude with a North Aurora Mothers Club-sponsored after party from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at Goodwin Park featuring a petting zoo, pony rides, bounce houses and more.
