Mount Prospect Fire Department 2018 Open House - September 22

The Mount Prospect Fire Department is hosting the 2018 Open House on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Police and Fire Headquarters (112 E. Northwest Highway, Mount Prospect). The public is invited to attend this free event.

The Open House will be filled with activities for all ages, including a visit from Sparky the Fire Dog. A free lunch will be provided to event attendees.

The Fire Department Open House is a preview to Fire Prevention week from October 7-13. Fire Prevention week is a national event through the National Fire Prevention Association. The 2018 Fire Prevention Week's campaign them is: "Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware. Fire can happen anywhere." The campaign is designed to educate people about three basic but essential steps to take to reduce the likelihood of having a fire--and how to escape safely in the event of one.
