Grace Lutheran to host 'Bicentennial Birthday Bash'

Grace Lutheran Church of Lily Lake will host Terry Lynch's presentation of "Happy Illinois Bicentennial Birthday Bash!" at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16. The community is invited to the supper and presentation.

Illinois will be 200 years old on Dec. 3, 2018. Lynch's program will discuss everything from Illinois' early years, historical happenings and famous Illinoisans.

His one-man, interactive presentations give audiences a new, first-person perspective on the people and events that make up the state's history and culture.

Nationally known actor Terry Lynch specializes in historical portrayals. Visit Lynch's website, www.historiesforkids.com, to learn more about the state's famous residents, try your hand at the Illinois County Game or learn about early Illinois history.

The church is at 5N600 Hanson Road, just east of Route 47 and north of Route 64 in St. Charles.
