Mount Prospect police issue alert about suspicious incident
Mount Prospect police issued a community alert for a suspicious incident Friday after a man engaged in conversation of a sexual nature with a 12-year-old girl.
The girl was walking her dog about 4 p.m. Thursday on the 1400 block of South Circle Drive when she passed by the man standing at the intersection of Circle and Frost drives. After the man engaged her in "inappropriate" conversation, police said, he got into his four-door black sedan and left.
He is described as black, 5 foot 8 inches to 5 foot 10 inches tall, with short black hair and wearing a black shirt and brown pants.
Police have increased their presence in the area and urged residents to be extra vigilant.
