Hawthorn School District 73 Accepting Applications for Board Position

The Hawthorn School District 73 Board of Education is accepting applications to fill the seat of board member Jeffrey Bard, who announced his resignation effective August 27, 2018 at the board's August 27 Regular Business meeting. The appointment will last until the next board election on April 2, 2019.

Bard was first elected to the board in 2007, and was reelected in 2011 and 2015. He is unable to fulfill the remainder of his term due to job requirements.

Those interested in the volunteer position should submit an application by 4:00 p.m. on September 11. The application can be found on District 73's website at: http://www.hawthorn73.org/school-board/. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, registered voters and must have lived in the district at least one year.
