Staying focused on value of newspaper
When I got the notice that my Daily Herald weekly subscription price would be increased, I was a bit upset. The cost of everything keeps going up, but my Social Security checks and pension checks don't increase. I can't say I wasn't expecting it, because with the cost of the tariffs on Canadian paper products, it was bound to happen. And when I stopped to consider, I realized that nowhere else could I get such unbiased news (including the Opinion page) and it was worth every penny it would cost.
Our No. 45 has done everything he can to discredit and abuse the printed news media. Now he is trying to make it cost prohibited. I doubt he would miss a daily newspaper, as I don't think he has the ability to read one. Our family has had a daily newspaper delivered to our door for as long as I can remember. Our son delivered newspapers when he was in junior high school, and if he somehow missed a house, people were quick to call us. They wanted their news in an honest fashion, and not on the evening TV news.
