Learn about improvements for local bike trails at club's Sept. 12 meeting
The Fox Valley Bicycle & Ski Club will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center, 3507 Kaneville Road, just west of Peck Road, in Geneva.
The meeting will feature guest speaker Ryan Peterson, the transportation planner with Kane County Division of Transportation and regional planning liaison and Bicycle & Pedestrian coordinator with the Kane/Kendall Council of Mayors.
Come hear about what's new and improved on our local bicycle trails and lanes. Peterson encourages input from club members and will take questions and comments at the meeting.
The public is welcome. The meeting will be 7 to 9 p.m. with a brief social time followed by the program and club announcements/business.
The club offers rides for varied distance, speed, locations and days of week. Some rides may include a breakfast, lunch or snack stop or special feature/event. Riders are expected to have equipment in good working condition, wear a helmet, no radios or earphones. Nonmembers are welcome, must sign waiver; any rider under 18 must be accompanied by adult.
