Hoffman Estates Park District's Announces Fall 50+ Trips
The Hoffman Estates Park District announces its fall 2018 schedule of exciting day trips for individuals over the age of 50. Participants meet at the Triphahn Center at 1685 W. Higgins Road and board the HE Parks bus, so the hassle of driving and parking is eliminated. Trips are open to members and non-members of the HE Parks 50+ Club and fill up quickly. Sandwich Fair - Participants will see distinctive buildings on beautiful tree-lined grounds, an ever-evolving array of exhibits, commercial displays,
agricultural displays, harness races, truck and tractor pulls,
carnival rides, food stands, and a variety of other attractions.
It's a traditional fair with the awesome fun of a modern
theme park. There's something for everyone! This trip involves is a great deal of walking and everything is outdoors. Trip fee includes admission and
transportation. Food is on your own. Registration deadline is 8/30.

Painting Party - What's more fun than 2 hours of painting at Pinot's Palette?
We'll have a room reserved just for our group along with
an instructor to help guide us with our painting project. All
supplies are included in our private party session. There will
be a cash bar available for anyone who would like to purchase
wine, beer, sodas and coffee during the time of our stay. After
our time painting we will head over to Eggs Incorporated
for lunch. You may purchase breakfast or lunch on your own
expense and it's priced just right. Our last stop will be at Le
Chocolat where you'll be able to purchase one of their tasty
desserts to go. This will also be on your own. Registration deadline is 9/5.

Chinatown Walking Tour - This one hour walking tour is led by expert tour guides. During this tour participants will learn about the rich culture
and history of Chinatown while taking an inside peak at
Chinatown's greatest treasures. Some of the highlights you'll
see are: Nine Dragon Wall, Chinatown Mural, Chinatown Square
and Wentworth Avenue. Also included on this walking tour is
a delicious lunch at a famous Chinese restaurant. Please note
that this tour has a great deal of walking. Your trip fee includes
transportation, tour, and lunch. Registration deadline is 9/1.

Vintage Fashion Show - Enjoy a time capsule of fashion and elegance of so many beautifully preserved "classics" spanning 120+ years. Learn
about the actual people who wore them, including details
which highlight each garment's individual story. Lunch menu
includes: Apricot Thyme Chicken with Chef's Choice Starch and
Steamed Vegetable, Garden Salad with warm rolls dessert and
coffee. Prior to the show and lunch, you'll be able to take a
self-guided tour of the mansion. Your fee includes lunch, show,

"Grease" at Fireside Dinner Theatre - An eight-year run on Broadway and two subsequent revivals, along with innumerable school and community productions place Grease among the world's most popular musicals. Here
is Rydell High's senior class of bobby sox and pedal pushers,
evoking he look and sound of the 1950's. Danny Zuko and good
girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their
"Summer Nights" as the rest of the gang sings and dances its
way through such songs as "Greased Lightnin," and many more.
Lunch will be served prior to the show. Price includes round trip
transportation on a motor coach bus, lunch, and show tickets.

Oktoberfest - Welcome to "Henry Haus!" Enjoy an authentic German-style
luncheon and show featuring "The Johnny Wagner Band",
specializing in traditional Bavarian, Austrain, and Slovenian
styles of Polka Music, including yodeling, performances on
the Swiss Alphorn (a 15 foot long horn from the mountains of
Switzerland) and the Austrian cowbells. Prior to the show and
lunch, you'll be able to do a self-guided tour of the mansion.
Lunch includes: Slow Cooker German-Style Pork Roast with
Sauerkraut and Potatoes, Pretzel Rolls with Coarse Brown
Mustard, Fresh Tossed Garden Salad, Warm Rolls and Whipped

Denny Diamond - Join us as we head down to White Fence Farm where we'll see
one of the best Neil Diamond tribute bands ever! Prior to the
show, lunch will include White Fence Farm's famous 4 piece
chicken dinner, sides which include: coleslaw, cottage cheese,
beets, kidney bean salad, corn fritters, beverage and vanilla ice
cream. Come hungry and ready to have a fun-filled afternoon
listening and singing tunes from the great and famous. Trip fee

Legally Blonde - A story of rising to a challenge and defying expectations, all
while looking fabulous, Legally Blonde is the perfect way to
push our 8th season into high gear and never let up. This is
