Lemonade stand fundraisers for Lendino family return Saturday

Two fundraising lemonade stands will be open in Mount Prospect Saturday, Aug. 25, to benefit the family of Alyssa Lendino, the 16-year-old Mount Prospect girl killed after a driver rear-ended her family's car July 21 in Wheeling.

Her father, Tony, and younger sister, Amanda, are recovering from serious injuries suffered in the crash.

One stand will be at the Indian Princesses' car wash from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, at Grace Lutheran Church, 1624 E. Euclid Ave. in Mount Prospect. The other “Lemonade for Lendinos” stand will be open from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road in Mount Prospect.

Checks payable to “Lendino Family Benefit” may be sent to Signature Bank, Attention: Ella Riordan, 7292 W. Devon Ave., Chicago 60631.
