Antique fire truck show in Lake Barrington

Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District will host its fourth annual antique fire truck show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, in Lake Barrington.

Free to attend, the show will be at the district's Lake Barrington headquarters, 22222 North Pepper Road. Highlights will include vintage fire service equipment, chats with firefighters, behind-the-scenes tours of fire station facilities, car seat safety checks, a raffle and ice cream served directly from a 1960s-era ice cream truck.

A blood drive hosted by LifeSource will go from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
