Shop Heritage Farm for Local Market Day

Get ready to shop for locally-grown and crafted goodies at Schaumburg Park District's Volkening Heritage Farm.

Local Market Day is set for 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 25 at the farm, 201 S. Plum Grove Road. Products include fresh produce, honey and cheeses as well as handicrafts and other specialty goods.

"We offer a lot of products at our visitors' center and we wanted to have a day where we showcase those items and the people who make then," said Patty Kennedy, farm program coordinator. "It's going to be a great day for shopping at the farm."
