She finds complaints about proposed day care odd
After reading Steve Zalusky's article about the new day care center proposed on northeast Main Street, I was surprised by the neighbor's complaint. It seems they are offended by the colors red, white and blue on the castle-like structure. It is a day care center after all and the appeal is directed at the children! It's almost like saying you can't stand looking at the Disney castle.
I can think of worse-looking businesses along that street, namely used car lots and drab store fronts. One neighbor complained he will have to look at the back of the building daily.
Perhaps Children's Land can compromise and just paint the back of the building all white or maybe just not look out your window?
I really expected the complaints, if any, to be about the potential noise and screaming from the children, not something that will perk up the area. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
