Council ignored criticism of development

It is very disappointing that Warrenville City Council members ignored evidence of blatant falsehoods and exaggerated claims of success by the developers and the planning/zoning boards to approve a high-density development. It will serve no one but the developer.

Their naiveté' in regards to these types of developments bringing financial success to their communities ignores historical fact. Their unwillingness to give due consideration to the people who voiced opposition to this project reminds us to more carefully choose our representatives in government.

It also serves to remind us that those who opposed incorporation of the village into a city were correct when we stated it would only serve to create another level of government filled with "little corporals" and another layer of taxes.

Our quiet, law-abiding bedroom community is being destroyed by people like you.

I give great thanks to aldermen Aschauer, Bevier and Hoffman who saw through the nonsense and fully supported their constituents' concerns. They have my vote.
