Schaumburg-Hoffman Lions Club supports PADS of Elgin

The Schaumburg-Hoffman Lions Club recently presented a donation to Public Action to Deliver Shelter (PADS) of Elgin, Inc., to help support their mission to provide safe shelter, support services and advocacy to homeless individuals in Dundee, Elgin and Hanover townships.

Schaumburg-Hoffman Lions are part of the world's largest volunteer service organization, Lions Clubs International, guided by the motto "We Serve". Club members from Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Elgin, South Elgin and nearby areas, are bound by the shared goal of helping their commuinities. Recent club projects include providing free hearing and vision screenings, serving a holiday dinner to needy families, preparing dinners for PADS of Elgin, doing home improvement projects for needy residents, sponsoring summer camp stays for visually- and hearing-impaired children, and much more.

Upcoming fundraisers include Trivia Night on Sept. 29, Wine Tasting Event on Nov. 2, and Poker Tournament on Dec. 8.
