Asian American Hotel Owners Association cheers on Sunil Shah's Schaumburg mayoral bid
For the first time, Mr. Kalpesh Joshi, the Upper Midwest Regional Director of Asian American Hotel Owners Association, hosted three regional conferences and trade shows specifically designed for hotel owners across his region covering Minneapolis, Chicago, and Des Moines.
The meet this time attracted close to 150 members and guests with 50 plus vendors partaking. Kaplesh Joshi welcomed and thanked the active participation of members. Jagriti Panwala, AAHOA vice chair, was an effective speaker detailing the vision and progress notched by AAHOA.
She introduced one of its active Ambassadors Sunil Shah who mentioned that he plans to run for the office of Schaumburg mayor. All those present lustily cheered his announcement.
Shah also took the opportunity to invite all to attend the Independence Day Gala Banquet to be hosted by the Federation of Indian Association at Fairfield Inn & Suite in Schaumburg. Shah is a community activist and has been residing in city of Schaumburg since last 20 years.
Joshi, along with all the ambassadors, worked really hard to make this event a grand success.
The regional meetings, said Kalpesh Joshi, provide an opportunity for hotel owners to network, make deals with vendors, and receive industry updates to help grow their business. Each event was a sold-out trade show (ranging from 30-60 booths) and had big names in the hospitality industry as guest speakers, including Iowa Congressman David Young, Minnesota Lodging Association president and CEO Liz Rammer, and Iowa Lodging Association executive vice president Craig Walter.
The Asian American Hotel Owners Association is the largest hotel owners association in the world. Its more than 17,700 members own almost one in every two hotels in the U.S.
With billions of dollars in property assets and hundreds of thousands of employees, AAHOA members are core economic contributors in virtually every community. The Asian American Hotel Owners Association is a proud defender of free enterprise and the foremost current-day example of realizing the American dream.
