Septemberfest Court Application Deadline - Aug. 3

The Septemberfest Committee started a new tradition of welcoming both young men and young women into the Septemberfest Court. The decades-old Miss Septemberfest Competition has now evolved into the newly-created Septemberfest Court Competition, one that places greater emphasis on the character and leadership qualities of the individuals competing in the scholarship program. Open to all young men and women involved in the community who are residents of Schaumburg and are incoming high school seniors or freshman in college ages 17-20. The competition is sponsored by the Sons and Daughters of Italy in America and the Schaumburg Jaycees.

Five individuals selected will each be awarded a $500 scholarship from the Sons and Daughters of Italy in America.

Winners of the scholarship funds will be present at all Septemberfest activities wearing matching polo shirts beginning Saturday morning (September 1) through Monday evening (September 3) including announcing musical acts, volunteering in the Fire Department Safety booth, assisting children on the pony rides, participating in the Septemberfest parade, as well as the Septemberfest Committee meeting and the Village Board meeting prior to the fest.
