15th Annual Art at The Glen Returns August 4th and 5th

Celebrating its 15th year, the award-winning Art at the Glen transforms The Glen Town Center into an exciting outdoor cultural experience! On August 4th and 5th, the streets of The Glen will be filled with the original work of 185 juried artists from across the country showcasing a variety of mediums including paintings, photography, ceramics, furniture, mixed media, drawings, jewelry and more! Live music all weekend long, performances from the renowned Marriott Theatre, artist demonstrations, and booth chats to learn more about the artists, their inspiration, and their work make Art at the Glen one of the country's most popular! Kids will enjoy a special area designated just for them with interactive games and activities including art scavenger hunts, art fest bingo, spin art, coloring, and a graffiti wall. Art at the Glen is rated as one of the top 30 shows in the United States by Sunshine Artist Magazine.

Kids will enjoy fun art activities including art fest bingo, spin art, coloring and a graffiti wall. New this year is the Glenview "Hands Together" Mural Project. Kids and adults of all ages are invited to add their hand print to a community mural showing that Glenview is a community of unique individuals that is stronger and more unified together. Each participant will get an 8" x 8" square and a choice of paint colors to create a hand print. The hand prints will become part of a 4' x 8' mural which will be displayed in the community. Painting can be messy, so please dress accordingly. The Glenview "Hands Together" project will take place from noon - 1pm both Saturday and Sunday.

For those wanting to be part of the art, folks can step right into a famous painting and take a free selfie! Visit the Amdur Productions' ArtZipper booth where a special "green" screen will be in place for attendees to be part of such world-renowned pieces as Paris Street; Rainy Day by Gustave Caillebotte, Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh, Whistler's Mother by James Abbott McNeill Whistler, and several others.

Capture Art at the Glen highlights and win prizes! Attendees who are 18 years and older are invited to take photos during the fest anytime between 10am - 5pm on August 4th and 5th and submit them via email to FestPhotoChallenge@amdurproductions.com. All photos must be taken during that time to be considered. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive gift certificates to purchase art at ArtZipper.com.
