Northbrook Resident - Kristin Muller - Awarded Scholarship from Cosmetologists Chicago (NFP)

Kristin Muller of Northbrook is thrilled to be off to San Diego to study with the Kingly Hair Group for advanced training in hair cutting, thanks to being chosen for a Presidents Scholarship from Cosmetologists Chicago (not-for-profit), the largest association of salon professionals in the Midwest.

A hair stylist at Teddie Kassof Salon, Kristin loves her profession and feels that cosmetology gives her the opportunity to continuously give back. She says, "At the salon, we are always working to lift up each other, to give back. I am fortunate to be able to help my clients feel like their best selves … it's about using hair to communicate the strength, warmth, and perseverance that I see in people, so that they can see it in themselves. It's about transforming their outside appearance to reflect their best traits inside."

Kristin continues "This scholarship gives me the opportunity to learn from some of the top beauty educators in country - from those at the top of their craft - and I can bring what I have learned back to the salon to benefit my clients. I am grateful to Cosmetologists Chicago!"
