Mount Prospect Downtown Block Party turns 20
The 20th annual Mount Prospect Downtown Block Party got underway at 4 p.m. Friday at Emerson Street and Busse Avenue with music, food and drink and free admission.
The festival resumes at noon Saturday, with free kids activities and music from Acousticity, The McGowen's, Jimmy Nick & Don't Tell Mama, Fletcher Rockwell and Sixteen Candles.
The event is hosted by the village and the Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce. More information is at mpblockparty.com.
