Prospect High grad earns P.E.O. STAR scholarship

The Mount Prospect P.E.O Chapter JM held its annual salad luncheon June 11. At the luncheon, Chapter JM was honored to welcome the 2018-2019 STAR Scholarship recipient, Kaitlin Sattley, a Prospect High School graduate.

Kaitlin's parents, Marina and Tim Sattley, were luncheon guests for the presentation of the $2,500 STAR Scholarship to their daughter by Kathy Doering, Chapter JM's STAR scholarship chairman.

One of the goals of the P.E.O STAR Scholarship is to help young women achieve educational success in post-secondary education.

Sattley's academic credentials, along with her leadership and service to her high school and community, showed her to be a worthy recipient of the STAR Scholarship.

At Prospect High School, Sattley was guided in her success by her college/career counselor, Rachael Brin.

This fall, Sattley will pursue a major in business with a concentration in finance at Notre Dame University in South Bend, Indiana.
