Hawthorn District 73 welcomes parents

Hawthorn District 73 has its annual, districtwide residency event Wednesday, Aug. 2 and 6 at Middle School North, 201 Hawthorn Parkway, Vernon Hills.

Each school year, at least one parent/guardian from all families must prove they live in the district.

The schedule is noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Aug. 2, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 6. Parents with children in kindergarten only don't need to attend.

Three documents are required to verify residency.

Nurses will collect health forms or verification of immunizations and physicals. All children must be up to date on immunizations by Aug. 22.
