Driver's ed classes offered through Elgin Academy

Joyce's Driving School, a state certified driving school, will offer teen driver education courses and behind-the-wheel training at Elgin Academy in the fall. It is owned by Elgin Academy alumni Joyce Orlowski, Class of 1981.

The after-school, fee-based program will consist of 15 two-hour classroom sessions (one per week) along with individually scheduled appointments for driving practice. The instructor will be Elgin Academy Upper School teacher Susie Howe.

Classes will begin the week after Labor Day and conclude by winter break. Future sessions for spring 2019, summer 2019, and beyond will be planned. For more information and to register, go to www.joycesdrivingschool.net and click the link (select Elgin Academy as your location option).

Students do not have to attend Elgin Academy to sign up for the classes.

Elgin Academy is located at 350 Park St. in downtown Elgin.
