Find flags and treats at Safety Park scavenger hunt

Get ready to spy some red, white and blue during Schaumburg Park District's Independence Day: Find the Flag Scavenger Hunt.

Children ages 1 to 6 are invited to wear their patriotic best and search for flags from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m., June 28 at Ken Alley Safety Park, 421 N. Springinsguth Road.

Activities also include patriotic-themed games and crafts. Ice cream treats will be served after the hunt. Participants should arrive at Safety Park on time, as the hunt will take place first.

"Come to the hunt to get your 4th of July celebration off on the right foot," said Kathleen Benson, general program supervisor. "This is a great way for little ones to celebrate the holiday."

Early registration is recommended. Cost is $7 for residents and $10 for non-residents.
