L&W Supply grows footprint in Georgia

L&W Supply Corp. a large distributor of wallboard, steel stud, ceiling systems and related building products announced today the acquisition of DeFoor Acoustical Inc.

The family owned business started in 1966 as a commercial drywall and acoustical ceilings contractor. It transitioned to DeFoor Drywall and Acoustical Supply in the mid-80s to serve the professional contractor and builder in Macon and Atlanta, Georgia, as a distributor. The company provides commercial acoustical ceiling systems, insulation, metals studs and drywall products.

L&W Supply has offices in Roselle. “We're excited to have D. Jay, Tim DeFoor and their talented associates join our team,” said Dan Piché, L&W Supply president. “This will expand our footprint, and we look forward to continuing to provide exceptional service, meeting the needs of contractors in the state of Georgia.” With this strategic acquisition, L&W Supply will now operate 158 branches across 35 states.

Since 1971, L&W Supply is an interior products company and is one of the nation's largest distributors of wallboard, suspended ceiling tiles, steel studs, joint treatment, insulation, EIFS, fasteners and related building products. L&W Supply was acquired by ABC Supply in November 2016.
