Mount Prospect Village Manager to Serve as Illinois City/County Management Association President

At the Illinois City/County Management Association (ILCMA) Annual Meeting on June 14, 2018, held in conjunction with the ILCMA's Summer Conference, the election results for new officers and directors were announced. Mount Prospect Village Manager Mike Cassady has been selected to serve as the organization's President for the 2018-19 term.

Cassady has served as Village Manager of Mount Prospect since 2015. Prior to joining the Village, he had more than 20 years' experience in local government, including serving as Village Manager in Bensenville and Palatine. Having been a member of the ILCMA for over 25 years, he is well acquainted with the work they do.

"It's an honor to have the opportunity to lead the Illinois City Manager Association this coming year," said Cassady. "We plan a very productive year to ensure our local government leaders are supported through our commitment to inclusiveness, ethics and integrity and governing best practices for City Managers."

ILCMA was founded in 1953. The purpose of the organization is to foster and encourage the personal and professional development of its members in order that they may better serve their communities and to promote, encourage, and preserve high ethical standards for municipal government administrators. The Association's 750 plus members are professionals who share the common interest of promoting effective local government. Members include city, village, and county managers and their assistants, persons interested in local government management, students, consultants, and other management professionals.
