Bond seems too low

I was happy to see that the police have identified and arrested the young man suspected of threatening Glenbard West. But also worried about his release on $30,000 bond. ($3,000 cash for him?). I really don't want to read in a year or five that "we had him on our radar." I'd like to know specifically what law enforcement are doing to neutralize the threat permanently
