Martinsen agrees to 1-year extension with Blackhawks

Forward Andreas Martinsen agreed to a one-year contract extension with the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday. The 6-foot-3, 229-pound Martinsen, acquired from Montreal on Oct. 4, had 1 goal in nine games with the Hawks from March 20-April 7. He also had 14 goals and 19 assists in 77 games (13 of which came in the playoffs) with the Rockford IceHogs.
