SUV crashed into Mundelein daycare
An SUV crashed into a Mundelein day care center Wednesday, leaving one child injured, according to a report by ABC 7.
A Vernon Hills father, 37, was driving the SUV after dropping off his child at the center in the 2000 block of Lake Street, the report said. At about 8:15 a.m., his car "jumped the curb, crashed through a window, and traveled about 15 feet" before stopping, officials told ABC 7.
The three children in the SUV were uninjured, but a girl between 4 and 5 suffered minor injuries, according to the report. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The driver had minor injuries, but was treated at the scene. According to ABC 7, there is no word yet on whether he will receive a citation for the accident.
Although the day care center sustained damage, it remains open.
