Lombard man accused of recording women in Batavia restroom

The Kane County state's attorney's office has charged a Lombard man with two counts of unauthorized video recording in a women's employee restroom at a Batavia medical office.

According to the Batavia Police Department, officers were dispatched Tuesday at 11:54 a.m. to a medical office on the 2500 block of W. Fabyan Parkway. The camera was retrieved by officers.

A 38-year-old employee of the medical office, Patrick A. Alcontin, was arrested. The department said that after obtaining a search warrant for Alcontin's home on the 100 block of South Lewis Avenue, investigators found additional evidence related to the crime.

Alcontin was taken to Kane County jail pending his bond hearing.
