The Blue Devils are now 21-14 on the season.

Kyle Wells topped Warren with 7 kills while Alex Jiang had 5 kills and Freddy Harris had 4 kills.

Setters Ian Schilling and Taylor Vander-Jeugdt had 10 and 8 assists respectively.

Lake Zurich regional: Vernon Hills swept host Lake Zurich on its own floor, 25-23, 25-19. Vernon Hills is now 17-19 on the season.

"We've been such an up and down team this year that I'm just glad the kids came and played well tonight," Vernon Hills coach Chris Curry said. "They adjusted. They followed the game plan. Part of our inconsistency has been how young we are, but the young guys got it done tonight."

Freshman Jack McDonald had 9 kills, 5 digs, and was 10/10 serving.

Sophomore Krys Han had 3 timely kills and a big block when we needed it. And at the end of set two, junior defensive specialist Ryan Pristas put together a great service run, getting 6 points in a row including an ace.

"The best might have been how locked in some of our older, more experienced guys were," Curry said.

Drake DeBoer had 6 kills, an ace, 5 digs, and 3 block kills.

"He was active, running the floor vocally," Curry said. "When he's locked in, we're a different team. And junior libero Sammy Adkisson started to really find their hitters, getting 12 digs on the night and passing nails.

"And our setters mixed it up well. Jonathan Wallach had 14 assists and 6 digs, and Noah Proft had 11 assists, 4 digs, and just made great decisions all night. Those two just keep getting better."

Lakes regional: Carmel swept Belivdere, 25-20, 25-15 to move on to the Lakes regional championship against Stevenson.

Rockford Auburn regional: Top-seeded Libertyville made quick work out of Waukegan, 25-20, 25-9.
