White Sox OF Delmonico out 4-6 weeks with broken finger
CHICAGO (AP) - The Chicago White Sox expect outfielder Nicky Delmonico to miss four to six weeks because of a broken bone in his right middle finger.
He was injured in the second inning of Friday's game against Texas when he was hit by a pitch from Matt Moore. Delmonico dropped to the ground in pain, and Leury Garcia came in to run for him and took over in left field.
Delmonico entered the game batting .226. The White Sox began the day with a major league-worst 11-29 record.
