Libertyville d. Lakes: Libertyville moved to just 1 win shy of the 30-win plateau with a 25-9, 25-14 nonconference sweep of Lakes.
The Wildcats are now 29-5.
"Our boys again did a really nice job focusing on the important parts of our game, playing nearly errorless in the first set," Libertyville coach Jenny Smith said. "We even got to play almost all returning players (non-seniors) in the second set, and those boys did a great job controlling the tempo of the set."
Jack Stevens led Libertyville with 6 kills and an ace while Brendan Cook had 4 kills.
Carter Schaffnit had 11 assists while Matt Apgar added 8 assists.
Ryan Winiger led the defense with 9 digs and Brendan Duffy had 4 blocks.
Grayslake Central d. Christian Heritage: Grayslake Central out-lasted Christian Heritage in nonconference action, 24-26, 25-15, 25-17.
Austin Rockel rolled up 12 kills for Grayslake Central while setter Javier Ortiz had 18 assists.
Jameson Loeffler had 10 digs.
Warren d. Buffalo Grove: Warren swept Buffalo Grove in nonconference action, 25-19, 25-17.
Warren moves to 20-13 on the season.
Kyle Wells finished with a team-high 12 kills and 3 aces for the Blue Devils while setter Ian Schilling had 11 assists.
Caden Fox led the Warren defense with 7 digs.
Barrington d. Lake Zurich: Barrington swept Lake Zurich in nonconference action, 25-20, 25-18.
