Robert Frost Elementary Has Their First McTeacher's Night

Robert Frost Elementary School held their first McTeacher's Night Fundraiser at the Mt. Prospect McDonald's on Rand Road. A McTeacher's Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald's and then giving a percentage of the night's sales back to the local school. What an amazing night for Robert Frost School!

On Wednesday May 9th, the restaurant was taken over by twenty-two teachers and staff members excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families. Teachers also handed out orders, greeted families, served drinks, and even dressed up in an apple pie costume. Staff members Emily Hayden, Susan Narve, Ali Friedman and even the Principal Jeff Brusso dressed in the Pie outfit and what a blast they had mingling with all the families and taking pictures. Principal Jeff Brusso greeted families as they came to the restaurant to have an enjoyable evening.

The students and families were treated with talented voices from the Robert Frost 5th Grade Chorus. Music teacher Emily Hayden directed the chorus as the families enjoyed the beautiful music.

Robert Frost's mascot Frankie the Falcon made a special visit to the event. The children enjoyed giving Frankie a high-five and getting their picture taken with him!

The Robert Frost Elementary teachers worked hard selling delicious apple pies all night and had a blast. The funds earned from the Pie sales will go directly to support a Maker Space area at Robert Frost LMC.

A special thank you goes to Robert Frost PTO member Deb Hachmeister who organized the event as well as everyone who worked and attended.
