Larson wins 5th career pole, Harvick also in front at Dover

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Kyle Larson has given Chevrolet a needed boost, turning a lap of 158.103 mph to win the pole at Dover International Speedway.

Larson won his fifth career pole and will try Sunday to win his first race of the season. Larson also won Chevy's first pole since Alex Bowman took the top spot at the Daytona 500.

Kevin Harvick joins Larson on the front row. Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Busch and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. completed the top five in Friday's qualifying.

Chase Elliott, another Chevy driver who had complained last week he didn't have help from his fellow manufacturer drivers in the closing laps, starts sixth.

Jimmie Johnson starts 19th as he tries to extend his track-record win total of 11.
