Schaumburg Township giving away 250 oak saplings
Schaumburg Township, in partnership with Cook County Commissioner Timothy O. Schneider and the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, will serve as a distribution center for 250 free oak tree saplings for township residents beginning this week.
Residents can pick up the trees at the township hall, 1 Illinois Blvd. in Hoffman Estates.
Registration is not required and residents are limited to two saplings per person. Trees will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
