Boys volleyball: Libertyville handles Mundelein

Brendan Cook pounded 11 kills, Jack Stevens added eight, and Libertyville's boys volleyball team defeated Mundelein 25-16, 25-14 on Wednesday night to remain undefeated in the North Suburban Conference.

Carter Schaffnit dished out 25 assists for the Wildcats, who improved to 23-4 and 5-0 in the NSC. Ryan Winiger added 8 digs and 3 aces for Libertyville, which also got 5 kills from Colin Hawkinson. Kevin Villanueva and Sammy Stortz chipped in 3 digs apiece.

Mundelein (14-12, 2-3) received 4 kills from Abram Nazario and three from Marc Rey. Ben Arebalo notched 9 digs for the Mustangs.
