Environmental Fair at Schaumburg library May 12

The annual Environmental Fair co-sponsored by the Schaumburg Township District Library and village of Schaumburg's Environmental Committee will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the Central Library, 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

A variety of exhibits will be available in the lobby, including an interactive watershed model, the Energy Bike, garden clubs, the Tomato Lady and many more.

Scheduled programs include "Help Conserve the Monarch" from noon to 1 p.m., "Microburst or Thunderstorm" from noon to 1 p.m., "Build a Birdhouse" from 1:30-2:30 p.m., and "Build a Monarch-Rearing Cage" from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Those interested must pick up their free tickets 30 minutes prior.

During the fair, the library will hold a special one-day collection to recycle keys, cell phones and eyeglasses.
