Sip, eat and enjoy at Spring Beer Garden

Experience a traditional German biergarten at Volkening Heritage Farm!

Spring Beer Garden is set for 4 to 7 p.m., May 18, at Heritage Farm, 201 S. Plum Grove Road. The event features German music, local craft beer, pretzels and refreshments.

"Spring Beer Garden is a fun event for the whole family," said Patricia Kennedy, farm program coordinator. "We will play backyard games and families are invited to bring their own picnic dinner."

Cost is $5 per person. Children 3 and younger are free. Admission fee includes one free pretzel and a souvenir glass. Beer and soda will be available for purchase, with last call at 7 p.m.

The event will be held rain or shine.
