Monday, April 23 the Schaumburg Saxons defeated the Fremd Vikings 4-0. Shane Ellis was on the mound for the Saxons and threw 74 pitches over seven innings that resulted in the shut out, no hit win. (4 strike outs, 3 walks) Short stop Joe Masi also made 7 clean plays at short and snagged a line drive to double up the runner in the 2nd inning to assist in the win.
