Wheeling d. Rolling Meadows: The visitors came away with a 25-17, 25-22 decision in MSL East action.
Jared Moser (11 kills, 6 digs, 3 aces) helped lead the way for Wheeling (7-7, 2-2). Other key performers for the Wildcats included Jon Janowski (6 kills, 5 digs), Jared Urueta (21 assists, 4 digs) and Ryan Thomas (3 kills).
Top results from the Mustangs came from Arthur Barczak (17-for-17 hitting, 7 kills), Max Schertler (5-for-5 serving, 1 block) and setter Billy Psarros (9 assists).
Buffalo Grove d. Elk Grove: The host Bison won a pair of close sets to improved to 3-1 in Mid-Suburban East play. Leading the way were Ethan Soifer (8 kills), Michael Lohse (10 digs) and Brian Franz (4 kills).
Fremd d. Hoffman Estates: The host Vikings needed three sets a big hitting effort from Aaron Peterson to earn a 25-13, 21-25, 25-17 decision in MSL West play.
Peterson was 18-for-21 on the attack and finished with 12 kills. He also served 3 aces and was 12-for-12 on serve receive.
Rocco Stella contributed 7 kills for Fremd (6-4, 2-2) and Jacob Peterson provided 22 setting assists.
James Swan had a team-best 11 kills for Hoffman Estates along with 5 blocks and 5 digs. Adeem Zamir came up with a team-best 6 blocks along with 3 kills.
Leyden d. Riverside-Brookfield: The visiting Eagles got 9 kills from both Jason Kemp and Robert Elem and improved to 6-4 after a 25-21, 29-27 nonconference win.
